Hon. Lady Justice Henrietta Wolayo receiving the award

One of the highlights of the recently concluded 18th International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ)Africa Regional Conference, 2024 in Accra, Ghana, was the recognition of Uganda's Lady Justice Henrietta Wolayo.

Hon. Lady Justice Wolayo, who serves as the Regional Director IAWJ Central and East Africa received an award in appreciation of her sterling leadership and support in organizing the Conference.  

The President of IAWJ - Uganda, Hon. Lady Justice Elizabeth Jane Alividza also received a present.  

The award and present were handed over by the Chief Justice of Ghana, Hon. Lady Justice Getrude Sackey Torkornoo.

The Conference ended with a tour of the Elmina Castle, a popular tourist site on the Trans- Atlantic slave trade.
